Minster Court, London, Regency Generators Case Study

The M&E Contractor selected Regency to design and deliver a power solution for one of the most iconic buildings in London, The Minster Building. Regency were contracted to deliver and lift into position the diesel generator set at one of the apex openings on the roof with the final position being on the rail which accommodates the window cleaning cradle. This operation was done in a 6-hour window as it was not possible to close the main road due to the location of the London underground (District Line). Regency planned and arranged all permits, closures, crane hire as part of the contract.

20 Finsbury Circus

20 Finsbury Circus is a listed building which posed many challenges. Originally being positioned on the roof, the design had changed due to structural issues and the generator was relocated onto the basement of the building however this then presented itself with further challenges. A plant room solution was designed and provided by Regency Power. This incorporated an exhaust system solution, including an in built catalytic convertor in the silencers enabling to discharge exhaust fumes safely.

John Lewis MP1 - Milton Keynes, Regency Generators Case Study

Two existing 1500KVA generators were already in place which required fitting with Pandaros controlls. Regency was appointed as the principal contractor on site and designed and developed a new generator set control system (COMAP). We designed the new mains/ generator G99 Synchronising panel (COMAP) onto 2 separate LV switch panels complete with new dual hot/standby Siemens PLC load controls.

Furtho Manor Farm

Furtho Manor Farm is a private residence, wedding venue and has various leased offices. As an insurance measure, the client required back up power - critically for weddings. Regency Power Generation visited the site and recommended a solution. In the event of any power loss during a wedding, the generator would start and support the venue until power was restored. Crucially the distribution now offered full 100A capability which was essential as wedding venues notoriously use heavy inductive loads for the sound systems and bands.
