What is the Stamford N Alternator Series?

The Stamford N series was a bew product launced by stamford using the Newage brand. The N series makes use of a self exciting excitation system and had no option of a PMG excitation system. Originally the N series was supposed to reach 200kVA (50Hz) but several delays, quality issues and ultimately cost of production meant that nothing over 20kVa was released for production.

Where is the Stamford N Alternator Series currently manufactured?

The S4 series was manufactured in Italy as of January 2020. It was made obsolete after this due to it being expensive to produce compared to the S range.

What is the power rating of the Stamford N Alternator Series?

The voltage output of the N series is 380-415 volts and has a maximum continuous output of 24 kVA at 60 Hz and 20 kVA at 50 Hz.
